Policy on Student Academic and Personal Misconduct
Faculty are required to report all incidents of academic misconduct to the Dean of Students and may report incidents of personal misconduct, such as classroom incivility. For information about policies and procedures, including due process requirements, see the Indiana University Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct, especially Part II: Student Responsibilities and Part III: Procedures for Implementation of the Code. Copies of the code can be obtained from the Dean of Students. The code is also accessible on the internet at studentcode.iu.edu.
Policy on Faculty Misconduct
Students who believe that any of their rights have been violated by a member of the university faculty or administration may make a formal complaint according to procedures outlined in the Indiana University Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct Code: Procedures for Bloomington Campus. The local campus offices of the Dean of Students, Institutional Equity, and Faculty and Academic Affairs are available to assist students in addressing their complaints. The complete code is available here.
